I have no way of knowing what the motivations of someone I never met are. I also never suggested that anyone rated his celebrity. What I suggested is that I believe it is easier for the type of roles that he often picked to get attention for awards. And I believe actors who are equally great but pick more subtle roles get unfairly overlooked. My problem was never with Daniel Day-Lewis, whose talent I never disputed but what I believe is a reductive way of rating and awarding art. Also, "we" don't have shared opinions. You can think he isn't rated highly enough if that's how you feel. I will continue having my own opinion.
